The research work in our laboratory consists in a combination of synthetic organic and inorganic chemistry and physical organic chemistry. First, there is a design of molecules and systems, whose behavior we want to study, followed by a synthesis of these molecules and subsequently physico-chemical study of dynamic systems.
Currently, we study the following areas:
1. Reversible reaction of carbonyl compounds with nucleophiles – synthesis of trifluoromethyl ketones and their coordination chemistry, reversible reaction with nucleophiles, hemiacetal formation, stabilization, self-assembly structures, dynamic polymers.
2. Fluorophilicity as a selection factor reversible reactions of perfluoroalkylated compounds.
3. Dynamic polymers based on the reversible formation of imine bonds.
